This Kenwood has been serviced including Cleaning all pots, sliders and control buttons. Circuit board was cleaned and inspected. Re-assembled and tested
This Kenwood has been highly rated and for good reason. The sound quality is excellent with deep base and crisp highs. Tested was accomplished using 1 set of Kenwood 3 way speakers w/ 12 in woofers and 1 set of Sony 3 way speakers w/ 12 in woofers. With the equalizer adjusted flat there was plenty of power and distortion free sound. The Phono pre-amp is better than average making the vinyl we tested sound excellent also.
Every company that produced integrated stereo receivers and amplifiers from the 1970's thru the 1990's from Marantz, Sansui, Pioneer, Kenwood, Technics, Sony and the rest. They all had some that just sounded great, clear deep base with the crystal clear highs. Some models by all manufactures just didn't get it right and the sound would be low quality or muddy sounding. Build quality will impact this too when using quality components that last. This series of Kenwood Amplifiers got it right with the sound you look for in a vintage receiver/ amp. I test equipment daily and I know when I here the quality built-in to a piece of equipment.
Physical condition is very good with a few lite scratches visible
