HiFi Philly is a all about music and the sound produced thru the rainbow of media formats made available thru the years. From Phonograph to Reel to reel, 8 track, cassette tape to the Digital age CD's & now MP3, I have lived it all. My Mother loved music and dance so I was raised with music in the house growing up. From Elvis to the Dupree's to Mama's & The Papa's. Country music Hank Williams Johnny Cash, Waylon and many female country singers. The music of the 1950's thru early 70's my Mother turned me on to Dean Martin, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Carly Simon and more early 1970's music.
So Mixing my love of music with the appreciation of quality stereo equipment I have decided to use my years of electronics education for the restoration and preservation of vintage stereo equipment. With the renewed interest in Vinyl Records I have been enjoying my record collection which numbers in the thousands. Some of these records I have not put on the turntable since the early 1980's. Plus the renewed interest in Cassette tapes decks is right in my wheel house!

My Mission.....Every piece of pre-owned equipment that I feature on HiFi Philly has been serviced. That includes opening up each piece of equipment and observing to operations of the machine while putting it thru the paces of it's normal functions. We replace belts, manually clean and demagnetize heads and re-lubricate where lubricants have dried or failed. We have developed a system to clean laser lenses that is cutting edge in the industry.
In conclusion if you do decide to acquire one of our serviced machine we want you to know that we have done the best we could to restore the machine to it's former glory. Prior to shipping you purchase it is retested so we are positive the piece of equipment is up to our standards and will meet your expectations. We ship our product in brand new or like new boxes and us our years of experience to pack the purchase safely for shipping.
