Vintage BSR Automatic Record Player / Changer Fully Restored
Model C 181, Made in Great Britain, Year 1977

No stackable 45 RPM spindle included.
Features: Fully automatic operation, 3 Speeds 33.3, 45, 78 RPMs. 3 Record size settings 12", 10", 7". Idler Wheel Driven platter. Cueing lever Spindle allows stacking records for continuous play. Flip over needle for 78 RPM records'and ceramic cartridge with a new needle installed. Removable dust cover.
This BSR has been Serviced; including partial disassembly to remove old grease. Parts were cleaned and re'lubricated. Motor was oiled,
Turntable has been modified (upgraded) It was originally sold with a plastic platter coated with a hard rubberized shell, a cost cutting measure. This platter performed poorly due to sound transfer from motor to tone arm. (rumble)
The modification included replacing the Plastic Platter with a Steel Platter from our Parts Department. Then I installed an Oversized Rubber Mat that prevents slipping, Protects your vinyl records and prevents any sound transfer from the motor..
This BSR turntable has been fully tested and is working perfectly.
Physical condition is very good with a few scratches visible from normal use.
*NoteThe dust cover has 1 crack on each hinge tab. I did address the issue and the dust cover will continue to function as intended as long as care is used. Most BSR turntables pre-1975 were made with a removable dust cover and this one can be removed easily like the earlier models. The hinge tab design used for some models 1976 -78, was flawed but with care did work. There also is some cracks in the rear corner. Damage noted does not prevent the dust cover from working as it should but the issues are pictured (see photos)
